Way back in October our brilliant wonderful neighbours had a wild party that ended up with several things destroyed (journal entry from the day after). Including this bike. It had the wheels twisted and destroyed and was tossed into the middle of the backyard. Where I photographed it 10 days later covered in frost.
This is my entry in the March 11, 2004 Theme Thursday - Bike.

The new CEIT building on the University of Waterloo campus was really interestingly lit with all this concrete, plain and polished. A wonderful example of man-made beauty.
I'm using this picture as my entry in the March 4, 2004 Theme Thursday - Desperation. Because in some ways it's exactly what my years of desperate survival looked like to me. I knew that there was an exit, filled with light so near but impossible to achieve because I had no idea how to get there.

I've been working on this scarf for several months now. I seem to knit a whole bunch for a few days then abandon my work for several weeks. I've been trying to complete it by just knitting 5 rows a day, every day. Slow but I may actually have it to wear before all the snow melts this year.
