I think this is the second best shot I took on the DC trip. The lens flare is so, so unfortunate.

I love that the little boy is at the memorial for the people lost to WWII, wearing a bomber style jacket and camo gloves. It's this mix of innocence and rememberance.

Wow. Clicking "film" as the primary category is such an odd feeling! I like it. I took my negatives into the awesome corner photo shop to be scanned and I just finished resizing them all in Photoshop. Film photos! Here! Damn, cool.

I decided in DC to try my hand at a bit of street photography. I was pretty obviously a tourist, so it felt nice and safe. I saw this shot outside of Union Station, and I'm so glad I took it. I think this is one of my best in a long time.

Occasionally I pull out my old proof sheets to look at and spend time debating the cost of getting the prints made up. The top sheet here has never been enlarged and has some of my best portraiture with my favourite model, my sister.

One of Unita's favourite places in the apartment is on the Radiator in our bedroom. She'll drape herself across it and tuck her legs in behind. One evening this past week I noticed her there in the dim light of my reading lamp and tried to capture the moment. This is the best of the lot. (She's glaring at me in most of them)
