Silver Fade

In the Buffalo airport there were these columns that I was just enchanted by. The light would keep changing and I just watched it go by.

Natural History

The Museum of Natural History. It was a really lovely day, that Sunday.

Chinatown Metro

Sometimes I think I'm going to spend the next several months just posting all my DC trip pictures. :) This gorgeous fan was over the exit at the Chinatown Metro station.

Standing Guard

Union Station in DC. The statues are apparently nude behind their shields. The shields were added for "decency". Hee. :)

The Blue Church

On the way out to "my beach" in Nova Scotia there is this lovely church in a tiny little town. The day was gorgeous and cold. The sky was indeed that blue.

My entry for the February 18 Photo Friday - Rural.

Hidden

Another from the Museum of the American Indian. Today's pick because I'm starting to think I'd rather feel like the statue looks than tired all the time. *laughs*

The Vietnam Memorial

My actual visit to the memorial was rushed and crowded. What I find odd and lovely is that looking at this image has given me the feeling I expected to have when I was actually there.

Sitting

Ed and I did this massive shoot in the Museum of the American Indian. One of the displays was this phenominal collection of sculpture. I have a number of shots from there to be posted over time.

Waiting

Wow. Clicking "film" as the primary category is such an odd feeling! I like it. I took my negatives into the awesome corner photo shop to be scanned and I just finished resizing them all in Photoshop. Film photos! Here! Damn, cool.

I decided in DC to try my hand at a bit of street photography. I was pretty obviously a tourist, so it felt nice and safe. I saw this shot outside of Union Station, and I'm so glad I took it. I think this is one of my best in a long time.
