Just because I feel like looking at a little man toppling a newspaper box upon himself. Yep!

Just in the mood for a little colour today.

On the approach to La Guardia I shot a *lot* of pictures out the window. I'm assuming this must be Queens. What it also is, is more houses crowded together than I'm used to seeing.
My entry for the January 21, 2005 Photo Friday - Crowded.

The first night I was in DC, Ed and I went drinking (in a very sad 30ish manner, 3 beers in 5ish hours, hah!) at the Brickskeller. For some reason we thought that the metro was running after midnight. Yep. It wasn't. We discovered this by getting to the bottom of these escalators and having to walk back up. (The left and middle ones are running, downwards. Right is stopped. Whee.)
So I took a shot before starting to climb. God, that hurt. *laughs*

I think this is my favourite shot out of all my digital ones taken on the DC trip. I especially enjoy the different colours of the lighting bounced off the ceiling. I still think how they light their subway system is weird and dark, but it was very lovely at the same time.
I do need to learn how to do better post-processing with my images. Jagged lines, unsubtle contrast boosts, etc. We shall see.

After spending days enjoying the amazing work at Chromasia I decided I should try my hand at a larger presentation of my photographs. Random wander through the cam pics (to be processed) folder, and this one popped out as a good one.
I think they tied up a lot of the statuary in the cemetery to repair them. Super-glue perhaps?

Yeah. Considering that it's grey and snowy and gross outside today, I think a bit of summer is exactly needed.

Lots of little details in this one. I really enjoy them. The pawprints to the top right appeal a lot. :)

I saw a photograph quite similar to this somewhere, so I figured it was time to post my own.

Still working my way through my "to be posted" folder. I have a love affair happening with light and glass in this lifetime. Lovely.

I have a number of my finished photographs being displayed as my screensaver, and this one caught my eye this week. Not even sure why I like it so at the moment.

So when Mike and I went out for dinner a few nights ago, I was mildly thrilled to notice the name of my beer of choice for the evening in the base of my glass.

I know I've already posted once today to here, but I realized that the Photo Friday challenge for Best of 2004 is still open, so I went digging through my raw images folder and debated. It came down to three images: this one, The Drain of the Fountain and A Concrete Spiral. I chose Sky Angel because it's simple, beautiful and a little less typical in addition to being a perfect example of my style.

A new year. I decided I wanted to use a newer photograph of mine to start this year off right, and this one seems the most appropriate. We shall see what's on the other side of the gate called 2005 now, won't we? :)
