Pull Up A Corner

The corner of a building in downtown Kitchener that caught my eye one day while i was wandering around taking pictures. I like the colour contrast between the red brick and the green windows.

My Scarf, Someday.

I've been working on this scarf for several months now. I seem to knit a whole bunch for a few days then abandon my work for several weeks. I've been trying to complete it by just knitting 5 rows a day, every day. Slow but I may actually have it to wear before all the snow melts this year.

The Rose Trio

One of the things I love to do in the summer is buy fresh flowers. My ideal summer would include a trip to the market every weekend to buy fresh produce and flowers. This bunch of beautiful Roses was bought on a market trip with my mom last summer and were the subject of an impromptu photoshoot that evening.

Blue

From my mini photoshoot while I refilled my Moms ink cartridges this past summer. The colours of the ink were just so rich and beautiful.

Melting Ice

Sitting in a bus shelter yesterday I was caught by the melting ice, the salty water it left behind and the bare glimpse of dry cement teasing me with thoughts of warm, dry days to come. Until then this is the status quo.

Orange Calendula

Calendula. It's orange. A touch of brightness for another cold, bleak winter day.

Snowy Steps

My favourite part of winter has to be the colour of the shadows on a sunny day. There's this shade of blue that is like a little piece of the sky come down to hide in the shadows.

Petunias on a Fence

The day I got my 256MB card for the Olympus, I also went to the Waterloo Farmer's Market with my Mom. I shot over 200 pictures that day of everything and anything that caught my eye. One of the prettiest things to catch my eye was this 'wave' of petunias flowing over the top of a fence around the picnic table area.

Sun Shadows

I walked past here 4 times already today so I decided to post an image of the lot from warmer days.

A Red Apple

In the early fall we had several parties in our building. Not the kind that everyone joins and enjoys, more like the kind with drunken yelling children. So after one of the annoying parties I found the shiny red apples that had been "decorating" a fake tree in the lobby floating on the top of a rain barrel.

Climbing to the Sky

Craving a warm sunny summer day again. Thank goodness I have dozens of unposted pictures from the summer then, eh?

A local playground, back when it was warm and sunny out.

Ice Shelter

Coming back from walking Miss Sara to school I popped into the nearby bus shelter to take some pictures through the sheet of ice.

The Wires

In August I ended up gutting an old VCR to get a trapped rental out for my mom. I took the opportunity to take some shots.

Crimson Glory

One of the many Morning Glories that graced my garden this past summer. I've hit the point now that I so want the snow to go away and growing things to take over.
