I wandered around Sara's room this morning taking various pictures of her things. These two things were tucked on her card/art clothesline.

For my birthday this year we ended up visiting the Halton County Radial Railway. I used up about 2 rolls of film there. Beautiful place to visit. This is one of the dead trains set aside to rust.
My entry (late) for Broken at Photo Friday.

I think every little girl has a box of hoarded hair elastics tucked away. This is my daughter's.
A very late entry for Theme Thursday.

Mike calls all pretty, fast, classic cars "Zoom Zoom"s. So here's a pretty red one. ZOOOOOOOOOOOM!

I seem to enjoy taking pictures of the various bits that gather in my Mother's home more than I do taking pictures of my own. Some classic books to admire. A bit blurry, but... bwahahaha! it's my journal! I'm not in Photography class anymore, I don't care!

I lived a block north of this stop off and on for almost 2 years. Very little in Toronto says 'home' to me as much as this subway stop does. Ran it through the Photoshop Lomo action.

We ended up driving through London on the way home from my Dad's place last Saturday. I took a whole bunch of pictures from the car. I have a thing for these light trails and someday I want to do a proper one with a tripod and the Yashica.

A vase full of beautiful roses, backlit by my desk lamp, is it any wonder I spent over an hour taking pictures of them?

Mike wants us to do more walking, so I make sure to take the camera with me as motivation. These are some rosebuds in Waterloo Park. The scent off the already blooming roses was amazing.

My garden mostly consists of many Morning Glory vines. They're beautiful flowers but I find them hard to photograph. Ahh well.

The market is a fun place to do colour photography. Lots of colour and shapes and textures. yay!

So much for a picture a day. Good thing I keep extra pictures tucked away for the days I don't think I'm going to make it out with a camera in my hands.

Going to use this one for this weeks theme thursday
Today's picture is brought to you by the colour blue and photoshop! This morning I noticed my window thingy tucked behind the curtain and reflecting off the glass. The colour picture wasn't what I wanted, so I figured I'd play a little in photoshop. I desaturated all colours except for Cyan and Blue, sharpened a touch and voila!

As if anyone reads these signs anyway. Greyscaled then boosted contrast in PS.
October 27 Note: Using this shot for the October 24th Photo Friday Challenge, Power. I think speed limits are an attempt to control the power available to drivers.

I'm trying to get myself to do street photography. Pictures of strangers (who might get mad!). This was my lopsided but interesting shot of a little boy by the water. I rotated, cropped until I had this.

Take Camera. Put strap around wrist. Take picture in car mirror. End up with picture of your hand, camera, and car. Flip in Photoshop so you can read the camera name. Upload and use as your August 8th entry.
It's a bloody Olympus ad. :) (See! strap! Mike!)

I don't live in an area where there's a lot of neon lights, so this is the closest I get to neon. I love my bright post-its. I upped the contrast by 30% in photoshop to make it pop more.

Colourful pillows from Sara's bed in the sunshine and then run through a lomo effect in Photoshop. Stuff like this makes me crave getting my hands on the actual camera.

Went wandering around the apartment this morning looking for things to shoot. Best out of this batch is my multi-stamp coloured in places with the "garnet" ink I use.

I've been trying to keep updating with a photo a day lately. I have a backlog of several that I use when I can't find a good shot for that day.
No problems on that front today. I caught this on the walk home from dropping Sara off. It's a local Counselling center's sign. I loved the play of light and shadow on the raised letters.

Not my best. I'm keeping it though because I like the way the daisy leans on the stem of the bluebell. As a reminder, I guess, that a subject doesn't always make the picture work.

Today is My Sister's birthday and her favourite flower is the Daisy, so in celebration I have two photos to post.
I took this shot on a walk early in the morning last week. I like the touches of sunlight on the foremost daisy and the shade on the back one.

I keep my Essential Oil bottles in a big blue bin, with little circular labels on each bottle lid detailing the contents within. I'm thilled to be able to use one of the tools of my trade as a subject for Photo Friday.

My garden consists mainly of Morning Glories and Nasturtiums. Here's a mix of the two. Nasturtium blossom posed on a Morning Glory leaf.

I went on a photoshoot with my Mom to the Waterloo Farmers' Market one overcast Saturday morning. This is from a flower vendors stall. Lovely flowers and wonderful colours.

Tragedy through the Comedy's smile ... Drama.
These are two masks on my mother's living room wall. I can't remember when she got them, but she has a thing for brass, and I have a thing for close up shots and warm light.
Look close at Comedy's cheek and you can see the camera and me.
